The Events Committee for the Bradford County Democrats met recently to finalize plans for their Spring Dinner. Chair of the Events Committee, Maryanne Bell, is looking forward to presenting our state and federal candidates as speakers at the Annual Spring Dinner.
This event will be your chance to meet and hear the candidates who will be on the ballot in the May Primary Election. Invited speakers who are running for Governor include Rob McCord, Tom Wolfe, Jack Wagner, Allyson Swartz, and Katie McGinty. Our own Mark Smith is running for Lieutenant Governor, and he is expected as a featured speaker. Scott Brion is running for the Congressional seat for the 10th District, and is expected to attend. And finally, Jon Ruth, is running for the Pennsylvania 68th District.
The Annual Spring Dinner is the Bradford County Democrats main event of the year. This year it will be held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 30 at the Ulster Fire Hall. Meet and Greet will be during the cocktail hour from 4 to 5 p.m., dinner is served at 5 p.m., and candidates will speak after dinner. This will be a three entree meal with all of the fixings for the price of $25 per person. Contact Bob Napier (570) 250-0862 or Diane Gonzalez (570) 265-2499 to make your reservations.
In addition, a silent auction will be ongoing through the cocktail hour and the dinner. This auction will feature wonderful gift baskets, and local artisan crafted items. A collectible silver American Eagle coin will be auctioned separately.
