The Bradford/Sullivan County Music Educators Association will be hosting its Second Annual Jazz Festival on Monday, March 24.
The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Troy Area Junior-Senior High School Memorial Auditorium, and will feature a lineup of student Jazz ensembles from area High Schools, performing a variety of music in Swing, Rock, Latin, Ballad, and Funk styles.
Participating ensembles are: Athens High School Jazz Band, Williamson High School Jazz Band, Towanda Junior-Senior High School Jazz Band, Sayre High School Jazz Ensemble, and the Troy Junior-Senior High School "Serenaders" Jazz Band.
Admission for the entire evening is $4 for adults, $2 for Students and Senior Citizens.
Tickets are available through participating schools, or they can be purchased at the door. Concessions will be available for purchase from the Troy Area Band Boosters. March is Music in Our Schools Month, and the public is asked to attend the BSCMEA Jazz Festival and help in supporting and promoting the fine music programs in local school districts.
